The Senior Recruiter is tasked with ensuring the flawless execution of the company’s talent acquisition processes including recruiting, networking and talent assessment. He or she strategies and coordinates the hiring and staffing activity of employees while adhering to the company’s internal best hiring practices. The Senior Recruiter will develop and maintain close coaching relationships with hiring managers and empower them to follow company guidelines and standards for interviewing and screening applicants.



  • Follows the companies’ hiring and interview best practices to identify and evaluate prospective employees
  • Demonstrates excellent interviewing skills and assesses candidates appropriately against established criteria and success factors
  • Demonstrates knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements, including compliance with state and federal laws regarding employment practices
  • Exhibits knowledge of hiring practices, behavioral-based interview techniques, tracking processes for applicants and open positions, and recruiting metrics
  • Develops recruitment and placement policies, systems, and procedures, including strategies and selection techniques
  • Conducts internal and external recruitment and placement activities of the company
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs
  • Establishes and maintain contacts with employment sources, such as colleges, staffing companies, search firms, and trade associations
  • Gathers and analyzes competitive industry information regarding salary, benefits, and employment practices
  • Implements strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality employees
  • Prepares descriptions of job opportunities and accompanying compensation schedules
  • Proactively researches and investigates innovative sourcing strategies


  • Creates processes and strategies to ensure timely and appropriate completion of talent assessment for all candidates
  • Creates and follows processes and tracking mechanisms to hold managers accountable to following our talent assessment process and schedule
  • Trains managers and employees on our talent assessment process
  • Works with internal departments to ensure cohesiveness and that the client’s needs are handled quickly and effectively
  • Effectively manages time to ensure workload is prioritized, employee’s needs are addressed and expectations on client service and business process are met
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers and leadership at all levels to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs
  • Establishes and manages relationships with third party vendors to act as a recruitment resources as needs arise
  • Networks with industry leaders and professionals to strengthen candidate pipeline


  • Maintains accurate and complete client data in Applicant Tracking System including
  • Consistently achieves data integrity, quality metrics and goals
  • Follows processes and procedures in recruiting workflow
  • Utilizes internal resources for identified processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in execution
  • Improves candidate hiring quality by tracking retention rate of new hires and uses data to make improvements where needed
  • Manages internal referral process to meet referral percentage goals
  • Establishes annual recruiting forecasts by working with hiring managers to evaluate trends and establish proactive recruiting solutions
  • Tracks and manages recruiting metrics to improve processes


  • Participates in Human Resources courses, seminars, classes, and webinars for skill and knowledge development
  • Provides feedback and shares information at team meetings
  • Suggests business process improvements to gain efficiency within the role
  • Strives for successful and effective working relationships with the entire Human Resources team
  • Participates in ongoing scheduled meetings with hiring manager to discuss recruiting needs
  • Trains, guides and mentor other peers as needed within the team
  • Creates successful and effective working relationships with Human Resources team, managers, external vendors and employees in other agency departments


  • Comprehensive interviewing and sourcing experience
  • 5+ years of broad, diversified recruiting and staffing
  • Proven ability to manage and track candidates through recruitment process
  • Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end recruitment workflow processes


  • BS/BA in Human Resources, business, insurance or a related field
  • Insurance or insurance agency recruiting or staffing
  • Third party vendor relationships and management
